2.5 million expansion at Atlantic Coated Papers

Construction is currently underway at our Atlantic Coated Papers plant in Windsor, Quebec. The new construction at the front of the building will be a 12,000 square foot warehouse. This will not only create more space in the factory, but will also improve the receiving-shipping component by having a loading point at the end, thereby drastically reducing heavy traffic in front of the factory.

We also purchased a high-tech rewinder, which will allow Atlantic Papers, already specialized in the packaging of food, pharmaceutical and construction products, to develop a new niche, namely the cosmetics field. The addition of this new machine, valued at over a million dollars and modernization of our existing equipment will increase production capacity.

Atlantic Coated Papers, which was established in the 1940s, became an Ontario property at the turn of the 2000s and currently employs approximately 50 people on three shifts in their manufacturing facility. Already HACCP certified for a few years, ACP was named in the best managed companies in Canada in the last four years, and we are now currently in the process of obtaining an ISO 22000 certification.

“The growth of our company is directly related to the sustained participation and involvement of our valued employees. The family spirit that reigns within the company greatly helps us to constantly climb new heights, in addition we estimate that our current investments should allow the gradual creation of five to 10 new full-time jobs over the months to come.” – Sylvain Jutras
